This morning I woke up and I had an estrange feeling. I dreamt about the day I have left Berga and I have gone to Barcelona to start studing at the university. All my world will change this day, my friends, my routine, my house … I was curious to know how I will live during the next 5 years of my life. I felt so strong to start a new life but I was really distressed and enthusiastic, two different feelings were rounding in my head. It was decided, I will leave my town. In the one hand I was happy because I really have waited this moment and on the other hand I was so sad.

My favorite restaurant

My favorite restaurant is named Muji’s restaurant. It’s situated in the middle of Berga, in the old area, near the place where Patum is celebrated. They cook Catalan traditional food.
The building left me speechless the first time I saw it because it’s a typical Catalan house that has many years.
But what really calls my attention is the decoration of this restaurant. It’s cool and modern, but some furniture is antique and there is a contrast between modern and classic style
Not only you can eat here, but also you can have a good time with your friends playing bawd games, you can rest outside in the street, you also can sing whit their karaoke.
From my point of view this is one of the most popular restaurants in Berga and it isn’t very expensive.
I strongly recommend visiting and trying the marvelous food because you will enjoy it. You will have a good time there and you will not spend a lot of money there.

Blind dates

Nowadays lots of people know their partners differently from the normally way. They meet with people to find a lover using internet. These kinds of dates aren’t accepted by some people with a conservative and typical mind.
On the one hand using these systems you can find the love of your live. You can find lots of people that you can’t in the street.
On the other hand you can find a bad surprise because sometimes, people who uses chats lies in many aspects of their life or physical appearance.
From my point of view I won’t use blind dates in the future because you can find people and swindler people.

NINETEEN GANG

30th Genuary 2011

Yesterday, a gang named nineteen entered in a jewellery shop named Maite situated in Berga. This gang is too dangerous and aggressive, but last night they only stole a lot of jewels, and they didn’t hurt anyone. They stole like 19.000€ in jewels, and the owners of Maite’s jewellery shop are very worried. They think that if police didn’t find all the jewels, this jewellery shop is going to close.
At the moment, police don’t know the reason for this robber , but police think that it happened because the gang needs money for drugs. However, people in Berga wants the detention of this gang , because everybody in the city is worried about their.

FILM

One of the films that I have seen recently is "El nom de la Rosa". If you like mistery and you want to know how the chaplains live some years ago, you must see this film.
This film takes place in one monastery. In it, all of the kinds of chaplains go there to celebrate important meeting, and some chaplains from different places go there, to take part in this meeting. In these monastery started to happen some strange things. Some of the chaplains died, and one of the Franciscans’ tried to guess what was happening with all these people. All the chaplains started to pray and they thought that this tings were because of God, and they believe that all this things happened because God didn’t want this meeting. But Guillermo didn't believe it and he started to search guilty.
I think that this is a good film, and it is famous around the world if you have never seen it you will enjoy it. I believe that you will like it.

TAPIR

Tapir is one of the most enderaged animals in the world. I that is a real pity because they live since approximately 40 million years. Nowadays four species exist in the world: three in Central America and South America and one in Asia. Tapirs are big and strong animals. They make a sharp sense of the smell, which they use to find and to choose their food and to detect possible dangers. They are solitary and shy.
Why Is the Tapir endangered? They are particularly vulnerable to the pressure of hunt. For his reproductive rate and low densities they cannot recover their population rapidly. Another threat is the fragmentation and the reduction of his natural habitat, as consequence of the development of activities such as the forest exploitation, deforestation, a forestation with not native species and exploitation of hydrocarbons and ranching. When they are done without control or suitable planning, tapirs suffer a strong degradation of the environments and their natural resources.
In 1998 one company for the conservation of the wild animals named Group Tapirus was founded . From this date, a group of ten volunteers work to assure the protection of the wild animals of the environment of the plantation. Their principal aims are: •To observe and to learn more things over of the animals of the local environment, to protect the flora and the fauna of the plantation and of the surrounding areas and to promote the environmental education of the local population.
To sum up, we hope that Group Tapirus and more others organizations help the Tapirs survive.

COMPOSITION

When I was a child, I usually went spend summers at the beach, in “L’Escala” on small town in “La Costa Brava” My parents bought small apartment near the sea. In this apartment we met a lot of friends and nowadays our friendship is still very alive. Every summer we usually stayed in it for one month and we did a lot of funny activities. Every week my brother and Martina went on their bicycle to “Cala mongó”, a cove near “L’Escala” . In this cove we spent a lot of afternoons swimming, laughing, and eating a lot of ice creams. I think that without these summers my childhood would have been very boring.

One of my favourite songs in English is Kids. This song is created by MGMT (before named Management) and the singer is Andrew VanWyngarden. Nowadays this group isn’t very popular here in Catalonia. MGMT are from Tennessee (USE). This group was created in 2002 while two of its components were studying in the University of Connecticut. They started composing music with different styles until they arrived at “Psychodelic Pop”. Kits isn’t the most famous song of this group. This song is about kids (like the name says) but I don’t like the lyrics very much because they are very strange.
I like this song because the voice of the singer is nice and the music too. It’s a funny and catchy song. It’s important for me because when I hear this song I’m thrilled and I remember the last summer holidays. I like to listen to this song in all the moments and in all the places. I don`t like the general message of the song I only like the music . I think that these lyrics are complicated to understand, because I don’t find their meaning.
I don’t like the video clip of this song because it’s too strange like the lyrics. I suppose it because I don’t understand the lyrics either. In this videoclip the singer appears with his face painted white and black like one Venetian mask. While he is singing, in the video clip there appear a lot of images about people dancing without any relationship with the song.
In conclusion, I like this song although the lyrics and the video clip are so strange.

MY FUTURE

In 20 years I will be like now but my physical appearance will be different. I will be taller than now, my hair will be longer. I will be dressed following the fashion tendences. My personality will be different, because I won't be as impulsive as now. I will be friendly and funny like now.

My house will be big, sunny, with a big garden and a swimming pool. My house will be in Berga near my parents' home. I will like to have 3 children, one girl and two boys. My oldest son will be called Jordi in honor of my grandfather. I haven't decided the others names yet. I will have a husband as good as my brother. I'd like to have a great family.

I will work as an interior designer with my young cousin. We will create an enterprise devoted to interiorism. My family company will be continued by my brother, because he likes it. Every day I will work for only 6 hours because I want to be with my family and I want to do some sport.

My hobbies will be sport, listening to music, going to the cinema and travelling around the world. My lifestyle will be like the one of a modern woman that combines working and the family and her own physical care.

TOMATO BREAD
PA AMB TOMAGUET
PAN CON TOMATE

COOK TIME: --
PREPARATION: 10 minutes
LEVEL: Easy

INGREDIENTS (for 4 people)

- 4 ripe or branch tomatoes
- 4 slices of bread
- virgin olive oil
- salt
- Other ingredients according to the tastes of the cook

METHOD

1.- First, If desired, you can toast bread and rub it lightly with garlic.
2.- Cut the tomatoes in a half.
3.- Then rub the bread with half a tomato, gently but decisively.
4.- Once well spread with slices, add a dash of oil and a pinch of salt.
5.-Accompany it with sausages, anchovies, herrings, cheese, ham, pâté, tuna, olives, garlic…

It was a dark and stormy night when we were at the mountain doing a summer camp with all the friends.We stayed on a field near Mario's lake.It was a very nice place but people didn't want to go there because there was a curse which explained the life of Mario.One boy that when he was young he was walking near the lake and he fell withim. His parents and the police searched him but the child didn't appear. After this day every year one boy falls within the lake and disappears at St.Joan's night. Our friends wonted to discover that strange thing and at St.Joan's night, these day we went to sleep there. The girls were really frightened and some boys too. The cutest boy, in the middle of the night want to walk near the lake and he didn't return. We searched all the next day and the police and fire-fighters too.
And one day later the boy appeared...
It was a mistery !!!

Composition

My names is Laura Figols Isach, I'm 14 years old, I was born in Barcelona on October 9th 1995.I live in Berga with my parents and my brother too. My brother is called Jordi and he is studying in Barcelona at IQS University.He is doing the 2nd level. My mother is called Marta and she is 45 years old. My father is 45 years old and he works in "Tecniber".He likes ski and doing sport. I have got two Grandfathers called Jordi and Pere and two grandmothers called Rosalia and Ramoneta.
Every day I get up at 7 o'clock I have breakfast, I wash my face and my teeth. I comb my hair and I go out. Then, my friend's father picks me up and we go to IES Guillem de Berguedà. I stay there all the morning from 8:30 to 2 o'clock. Later I go home and I have lunch I watch TV and my mother takes me to High School at 15 :30. At 17 :30 I go on foot to my grandparent's house and stay there until 19 o'clok, and then I go to do diferent activites. At 21 0'clock I go home, I have a shower, I watch TV, I connect to the Internet, I have dinner, I do some work and I go to sleep.
I like sports in general but, I love practising basketball and frontennis. In my free time my parents want me to go to Logos to learn English every Thursday 4-5:30. But I'm not good at speaking English. I practice basketball three hours and a half every week and I play frontennis 4 hours every Friday. And on Saturday morning I play basketball with my friends.
